Flat FRP Rod is dielectric FRP rod is designed to be used as a dielectric armour in very rugged cables, such as, Rodent Resistant cables, Direct Burial cable, Bullet Resistant aerial cable, etc. It is most suited for loose tube, uni-tube, ribbon cable, and typically used as peripheral reinforcement in fiber optic cables. It is typically embedded in the jacket or stranded over cable core and the cable manufactured with it would be lower in diameter, and lighter in weight.
